Each year during the holidays, there are thousands of families in Durham Region who are unable to have a traditional holiday celebration because they cannot afford food for their children – let alone presents to wrap or stockings to stuff.

The Durham Children’s Aid Foundation asks you
to support CAS families in need to give our kids hope for the holidays through the Holiday Hope Program

Last year, the Durham Children's Aid Foundation’s Holiday Hope Program supported 659 families in need, including over 1,500 children, youth and caregivers. Over the past ten years, the program has grown nearly 300% as the community and agency client-base has grown. The program serves families who have no other supports during the holiday season and who would rely on the generoisty of the community.

We match families in need with community donors who create a holiday hamper of gifts and food vouchers for a family. We send family information to you, outlining the first names, ages, sizes, special wish lists of each family member and a brief introduction to the family. Please help us give every family a happy holiday season.
