The Ontario government provides no funding to assist with the prevention of abuse and neglect. Through the Foundation we are able to provide counseling for children and families, to reduce the risk of abuse and neglect before they happen.
This funding assists those children who are not in the care of Durham CAS, in the hope of preventing ever having to bring them into care.
